Free partition software?

I'm looking to cut a 10 gig chunk off the end of my 40 gig drive, and was wondering if there were any FREE utilities out there that could do it.

You didn't say what kind of file system you're running. If it's FAT, you have a lot more options, like<B>parted</B>. It's a Linux-based tool, but you can download a floppy image. http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/

There's also Beeblebrox, but I've never used it. http://beeblebrox.sourceforge.net/

Win98, FAT32. This is beginning to look like a bad idea™, I might just forget about it. :-)

Nah. If it's FAT32 you're in very good shape. It's a pretty easy file system. NTFS is deliberately designed to be difficult to interpret.

I was wondering if I'd have to resort to "alternative" sources of "free" utilities, but FIPS did the job just fine.
