XP pagefile location question

I just resized one of my partitions to accomodate Mandrake and the linux swap and thought I should also create one for the XP swap.
Problem is I don't know how to tell XP that it should look on one drive for the pagefile and apply to another drive.

In 98 you just added/changed one or two lines to system.ini, in XP I'm rather puzzled since it can have pagefiles for each individual drive.

I should get it that it doesn't matter to Windows if you have the pagefile spread across several drives or just one, it's sort of cumulative and applyable to all drives ?

Yep, cleartype is on.

I keep my pagefile off the drive/partition that WIndows is installed on. It is said that this will "improve" swapping although I have seen no difference.

I only recently put a pagefile back on, I figured 768 MB RAM was enuf, but the machine was behaving strangely so I said what the heck
