Yet another motherbard question
Whats the best P4 motherboard and the 9700 pro. I was looking at Epox EP-4SDA5+ but I don't know hows this gets along with cold booting which is a prob with the 9700.

Echoing a comment I made in another thread. The P4S8X has more issues than just those with the Radeon 9700. DO NOT under any circumstances buy one. Asus blew it big time with this board.

The Radeon 9700 pro tends to have problems on SIS and Via chipsets less so Intel. Later revisions of the pro and bios have helpded the issue as has upping the agp voltage. On my 645dx I don't get anything on the screen until the OS boots.
So the Asus is out I did a search on Rage3d forums over the Epox board and only one post came up and that was about hanging in 3dmark. No big issue there.
I'm also thinking of Intel based board like the Asus P4PE raid.Comment
