Anyone know of a secure, free, email program that can check web based mails such as hotmail and yahoo mail?

Yahoo = no free pop3 access. However you can access it through WAP on your cell phone.
Hotmail = Outlook as GNEP said. Security: basic stuff applies (spam filtering, not opening attachments or downloading them through browser, latest patches...)Comment

Yup. My emphasis has definitely moved from finding a web-based email account that I can interface to using a normal email program to making sure that my POP3 email has a webmail interface. Usually worth checking with your ISP if they offer this - sometimes they don't tell you they do, but quite a few do these days in the UK.

JMA Software is selling Web2Pop for pretty cheap (20$ if I remember).
it will interface with tons of HTTP based services (notably Yahoo and Hotmail). Updates are free and it works pretty well. I've been using it for quite a while now and couldn't find another to best it.Comment

Well for those interested....www.mail2web.com lets you access your POP3 account online if you ISP doesnt offer a webmail based client or even if it does. I know that ATT worldnet doesnt work with mail2web.com, but they offer a web mail option.Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?Comment
