    Transplanted my old Audigy into my 2nd machine and used Audigy 2 drivers done by his method. Worked perfectly.

      Even better I can now use my headphones to watch late TV without any chance of disturbing my neighbours kids.

        Wonder if I'll need to do that driver trick with my Live! Platinum... It's refused to deliver SPDIF out for the last three months or so, and in the Control Panel it is listed as "Creative SB Live! Value" no matter what Creative drivers I use. The Live! Drive does get power, so that isn't the issue...
