    Firewall (Need one)

    At the moment I'm using Zone Alarm, but I don't really like it, because it starts hogging my cpu when I have a lot of internet activity.

    Many people seem to have this problem, but so far no fix has been released.

    Are there any other good freeware firewalls out there, or do you guys think it is worth investing some money into a real good one, and if yes, which one?

                          I like sygate as well.. been using it for awhile. It always warns you when some proggie is trying to connect to the internet, even if it's windows itself.

                              See that's why I _HATE_ ZoneAlarm and SyGate and all of those other "firewalls":

                                  sygate doesn't exhibit that behavior. just mark the "don't warn again checkbox"...

                                      hehe, you are describing one of the reasons I still use ZA even tho I could just let the nat handle it

                                          Zonealarm exhibits certain problems with DC++ and other aplications.

                                          Also note: Firewalls are generally very low level drivers, so be careful to reboot when uninstalling one and installing another.

                                          I rendered the box unbootable this way (A little fiddling in recovery console did the trick.)
