XP, I keep a Win98SE Machine for Rainy Days, and I protect my network with a known good OS: Linux.

To be sure, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, but by and large, XP is a really sweet OS.

Windows 2003 server is also shaping up to be a nice "power user" OS as well. Expensive as hell though.

Win2000, for no particular reason other than it performs nicely and I never had a single problem with it. If it ain't broke... etc

2000, because XP went titsup.com three times in a row on my Shuttle box in as many days and ran like a three legged dog, while 2000 on the exact same hardware config is not only three times as stable but a lot faster too.
2000 has also proven itself to be far more stable and predictable on the machines I've been stress testing recently.

XP, because it's stable and fast on my machine. And I dont even have enough time at the moment to get used to linux as secondary OS, so I will probably stay with XP until I have to switch to linux because of TCPA

XP Pro...it has its quirks, but all in all it's a stable, fast and pretty OS Not having to manage a network I see no reason whatsoever to dabble in Linux anymore, I've convinced myself that it's crap as a workstation.

2k at home, 2k at work. Didn't see enough benefit for the cash to upgrade from 2k Pro to XP at home, and still don't...

at home mainly 2k, win98se for older programs and in rare cases where 2k crashes, linux to play around (not enough time nowadays), Win98se and 2k at work..

I use Win XP Pro at home on one machine, W2K server on the other. here at work I use Windows 2000.. I have not used a Win9X product since the dark ages.. sometime back in 1999.

as for windows 2003 server being expensive... I got this deal from microsoft..
