XP Issue - My Network Places

Windows XP searches MSN communites when trying to add a network place which takes several seconds at least. Is there a way to stop this?

Edit:
Oh and you still cannot add a workgroup to your network places without doing it completely manually. Grrr.

There's an option to NOT automatically search for Network Folders and Files... but I don't think it'll help.

I'm sure there's a registry key for this, but dunno where.
