McAfee just sucks. First it's "sorry we corrupted your NTFS partition", then it's "sorry we deleted some of your necessary system files", now this...

Bah! I hate McAfee. I hate CA. Their TNG software is the biggest, most expensive way to drop your network....

            Hmmm...

Version 7.03.6000 after last nights update and no issues here.

McAfee may suck but it sure doesn't hose things up
            like Norton's does.

No. Instead it corrupts your system files randomly.

I'll take 'slow and bulky and heavy on the registry' over 'corrupts my system' any day.

The only time Norton fubared with me was with the 2002 to 2003 install. Easy solution due the manual uninstall and then re-install and everything works fine. Since we're talking about Nortons A I've never had a problem with that.

See? They're moving up in the world!

V6: We **** your system partition.

                    V7.0: We crash randomly.

V7.0.1: We corrupt your system files randomly.

V7.3: We trash your TCP/IP layer.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE IDIOTS?????

Ever since they were banned from stealing any more code from Norton by a federal judge, they've gone downhill with a series of catastrophic system-destroying bugs.

That was the final step to the fix.

I'd say a "fix" would be to use AVG. It's free and better than McAfee in EVERY WAY.
