They are hard to read, hard to search, hard to copy from.
They are fine as pre-print proofs.
They are terrible as working documents.

Mine is Internet Explorer. Ever since I switched to Mozilla Firebird I have not encountered any more browser crashes and explorer.exe crashes. (and this si after a repair) So I think the VIA chipset has social problems with IE.

Aw heck, virtually every commerical PC program that's popular anymore is either bug ridden, or has a interface designed by people who hate other people.

Symantec OEM bundles- lots of incompatibilities with other software and short subscription periods.

Real Player- haven't used it in ages, almost forgot how it is
QuickTime- only use it to play mov files
WinRar- love it, only use WinZip beside it, to get files out of cabs, etc.

lmao. Agreed, plus on Windows here at our lab, something, don't know if it is the PDF itself, but it causes our printers to print PDFs at 1 page per minute.

I use Linux at home and xine has handled everything so far, although I haven't used a RM for at least a year now.

Apart from the usual Creative/Real/QT I'll have to nominate the two apps I used this summer.
The VBA editor in Office and Extend by Imagine That! Inc.
I can't for the life of me understand why Microsoft, you know the guys who should know how to use the WinAPI properly can't make the VBA editor scrollable with the mousewheel.
First I thought it was a 'feature' in Office 97, but it exists even in Office XP. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to easily scroll around when coding. My VB code was around 5-600 rows, so there was a lot of scrolling going on.
My second hate app is Extend. It's ported from the Macintosh, and does thus not behave as you would believe a Windows would work. For example, Home takes you to the beginning of a row, and End takes you to the end (sometimes). Ctrl-Home goes to the beginning of a buffer, Ctrl-End doesn't go anywhere.
Not to mention the nice instabilities you'll get when interfacing two apps that both are DDE servers and clients to eachother at the same time.
It's loads of fun, I assure you.

I was going to mention exactly the same thing. The VBA environment doesn't seem to have been updated in over 5 years And I really miss the mousewheel in it

How can I forget? Kazaa can eat my balls. I hate that softare so much, when runningit doesn't permit me to use ctrl, alt or shitf. Oh well, I don't use it much.
