So I don't really feel like installing this. What makes it better than Winamp 2.9x?

MUCH better at video, not that I use Winamp for video.
Everything is better integrated...
It's what Winamp 3 wanted to be, without the horrifying drek that was Winamp 3.
And, unlike Winamp2, it no longer looks like a first-year engineer designed it... sharp edges and cluttered interface and all.

Well, I use Winamp 2 for music, and Samami/MPC for video. My favourite video player is the BSPlayer, havent decided yet wheter i like that RC winamp 5 better than winamp 2, especially since they added the media libraryComment

You can always remove the media library if you don't like it. All modules and plug-ins are removable.

Nothing except MPC can play real/quicktime.
My biggest wish is that the "anonymous" author of Quicktime Alternative and Real Alternative would provide them as ACTUAL codecs instead of MPC plugins.

I almost never see it since I use a remote pluging that lets me controll it with ANY of my remotes (since they are all Panasonic ones
)

I have found feature that didn't workand one that I didn't like. I tried to rip a CD to AAC file (whatever that is, I was just curious about it) and ... it didn't work. But before that I tried to change the rip speed to 8x and it said:
this feature in not availble in this version. please purchase WinAmp Pro to enable ripped faster than 2x.
Or something like that.
