inkjet printer on parallel port ?

Hello,

Are there still colour inkjet printers with a parallel port ? We would like to connect one to our existing HP JetDirect printserver (which has no USB ports). Or are there alternatives (converter cable ?) ?

If not, we would have to resort to connecting the printer to a computer and sharing it that way...

Yeah, there are a few. Last-gen ones all still have parallel connections. My Photosmart 1215 does... and it's hardly "last gen" so much as "a year old".

can confirm that my epson photo printer has both usb & parallel interfaces.

The Epson C82 has been replaced by the C84. About 110 EUR w/o VAT. The printer costs a bit more but it uses a lot less ink (2 picolitters/drop) than the others. Probably the most economic inkjet out there for now...
