If you will, my 10k rpm, 5ms Raptor gives 8.5-9 ms results.Comment

I think WD drives may start with seeks a bit slower then norm. Sort of like a careful workin/check mode.
I seem to recall that my WD drives seeks were faster after a few months use.
Of course, my sig probably explains the real situation
