IMO the AMD is still the most reliable chipset for AMD platform (my main box currently has AMD chipset).

Well, I'm not planning to upgrade soon (TM?), but in time my idea was to buy a cheaper dual Xeon mainboard, put my current 2.4 GHz Xeons on that one (as a secondary system), and upgrade on my current mainboard. yes, new chips on FSB533. I don't know if it's a really smart move to put a yet faster chip on a lower speed FSB, but for the ones looking for an incrementally faster PC. Don't forget that the power requirements might be too high for your current hardware...(PSU excluded)Comment

Samsung/ RAMBUS made a good choice for the regular punters when it named its memory XDR. It does sound better than DDR.

I do know for my board (ASUS P4PE) there is a Bios update that allows the 800mhz FSB. So it seems to me that you could do it through firmware...Originally posted by VJ

Just a quick question pertaining to that... Does that mean I could actually overclock my 3.06ghz 533FSB to the 800mhz FSB? Sure looks like it to me...
