Ok, so on my computer at work, everytime I try to download something via HTTP of over 100K, it just stops after a few seconds. Other computers on the same network don't have the issue.

Could a be a NIC card setting. If you have access to the switch/router then hard set your speed and duplex on boht teh nic card and the switch/router.

It could also be some kind of buffering issue, but I don't think you have a NIC card or switch/router capable of flow control?

check you proxy settings?
eg try disabling proxies(direct connect to internet) in internet setupComment
