Is Kazaa lite dead? I went to the two links posted in an older thread that I posted an d neither one of them works any more?

Kazaa Lite has no spyware, hence the "Lite."

I believe it's illegal to actually share the files (read: upload) in Canada, though it is legal to download.
And how much of the file sharing happening on these networks is really legal anyway?
Whatever, I suppose the nitpicks will warrant a revision of my statement then.
Depending on where you live and laws in your area, it is most likely that the file sharing is not legal, regardless of the legality concerning the clients themselves.

If I recall correctly, there is a plugin for giFT that allows you to use the same network as Kazaa. Fast Track is the network they use. Besides, Kazaa themselves were raided....

Kazaa (Sharman Networks) was raided but it's just a bully tactic used by RIAA. The RIAA already lost more than one trial against them.
Sharman networks are just the providers of the technology, not the pirates.
The RIAA just hopes they can drive Sharman to bankrupcy or make them close down any way they can. THAT's illegal. Meaning that if it ever happens, the owners of Sharmlan will be able to sue the RIAA for damages. But I guess the RIAA decided it was ready to loose some money in order to shut down Kazaa...
This whole thing is going to blow in their face (RIAA's) sooner or later...Comment
