ASUS 9800XT/TVD fans die

I've had this card for a month or so, no problems. Yesterday both fans die, the card shoots up to 100 degrees and the PC locks up.

The card seems to have survived (a little distortion on the plasic fan shroud), but the fans are still dead. It's a tiny power-connector on the board, so I can't jerry-rig anything at the moment.

Anyone have an ASUS contact in the uk for RMAs? I've emailed support in The Netherlands, but have only had read-receipts so far.

try taking it back to the retailer!
under the new sale of goods act they'll have to replace it if it's less than 6 months old.

lol chances are it is... 9800XT itself is less than 6 months old.

I don't think T can do that... It would have to go back to Asus....

Apparently there is a VAT issue with payment (we want to pay the VAT, they aren't invoicing it!) so I can't see the retailer being too helpful yet...and it was on a BIG order.
