      The bad thing is, I've had that NTLDR missing error as well a few times, but usually just hitting the reset button makes windows see that the file is there... Oh how I hate windows...

      Well, it happens to the best of us, Paddy. So why is it exactly that Windows will see the USB devices before the SATA devices? That is quite odd...

        I'd hazard a guess that he's got boot from USB device enabled in the bios.

              That's one to tell the grand-kids!

              I always disable all other boot devices in the BIOS, mainly because of the time it will spend checking the network when doing a fresh build if you don't.
