Lately, I've been using a neat little (2.91 MB) progam called Game Cam for recording ingame movies. It's really user friendly and quite a bit of fun. I don't know how it compares to FRAPS, as I've never used that program. The free version captures the movies in .avi form without sound (the $14.95 version also captures with audio and in .wmv format). Here's a small clip of
