    But its only got a 32bit 33MHz PCI connector... so the theoretical bandwidth of SATA (150MB/s) exceeds the max theoretical bandwidth of the pci bus (133MB/s)... and in reality you won't get anywhere near that sitting on the southbridge.

        Actually it uses a 32 bit 66mhz PCI connector.

        I'm pretty certain that a PCI-E version is in the works.

          32/66 pci isn't the most commonly supported configuration however... I'm really surprised they didn't make a 64/66 card for PCIX, since server boards are using PCIX100 or 133 now.
