    WinNT4 and mouse scroll

I installed WinNT4 Workstation SP6a on old PI/200MHz PC and can't get working
mouse scroll function. Rotating mouse wheel doesn't move anything. It doesn't
work in Windows Explorer or any program. Anyone know how to get this working?
It is standard PS2 mouse (not wireless, not optical) which worked normally on XP.

Is there standard PS2 mouse driver which will add support for mouse scroll to NT?

Any help would be very appreciated, I really need it working... thx

Try installing the latest MS Intellimouse software. It works even on Logitech mice.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

NT4 doesn't natively know anything about scroll wheels. You need an enhanced mouse driver. I don't know about the Intellimouse drivers, but the Logitech ones are terrible. Wombat, do you have an Intellimouse download link? I remember looking for it some time ago and not finding it.

As an aside Adis, is there a reason you need to have NT on that box? In my experience NT4 performs horribly even on much faster hardware. If it's an option, I'd consider changing it for Win98 (which also does know about scroll wheels).
Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.

        Thanks for replies

There is an specific software which needs NT, that's the reason for installing it.

        I searched on Microsoft site...
