    I've read that link but what I am saying is you can still use the old fdisk to partition a drive over 64GB but you have to type in the percentage instead of typing in the actual capacity you'd like to partition to be.

      i agree with ayoub above.. i have always used percentages.. just that you get odd hdd sizes displayed at first.. but once they are partition to be below 64GB they display their true sizes... i hadnt bothered updating to the latest fdisk as the old still worked for me
