USB Mass Storage iRiver player and XP..

A bit like High Jumbllama's issue here: my iRiver (UMS formatted) is seen on initial connection, I get the disconnect icon in the tray, the device is seen in device manager, but does not show up in explorer or any file manager.

Now, when I go to Device manager/properties/volume/populate, it then shows up and can be accessed as usual.

Why is it not showing up by itself?

Hmm, populate. I'll have to try that. It'll at least be a temporary workaround.
