    Bytecc USB 2.0 enclosure

I just picked up a Bytecc USB 2.0 enclosure, and an NEC 3520A to put inside it. However, when I connect it to the USB port, it never recognizes the DVD-RW. It recognizes the controller/mass storage device, but never gets are far as saying "hey, this is a disk drive, so let's give it a letter".

I tried the NEC drive in another external enclosure, and Windows picked it up perfectly and assigned it a drive letter.

The jumper on the drive is set to Master, but I've tried all settings.

    Any help?

2K? XP? Have you used another device in the enclosure on the machine with the issue?
