RAID and overclocking on Nforce 4

Looking for feedback on RAID limiting overclocking with nf4 chipsets. Have a friend with a DFI NF4 ultra D, Venice 3200+ and a RAID 0 array with two 36gb Raptors.
He only managed to take the Venice up to 2.4 GHz, says his RAID array gets corrupted if he tries a higher fsb.

I'll have to check my BIOS, but I thought you could set FSB independently of the HT speed and/or PCI bus?
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

With my nForce 4 board (Asus K8N4-E Deluxe) I HAVE to overclock to get the PCI bus to run at a proper speed!
