          Bah! I just draped a 14x8.5' transclucent cloth over the opening of my garage - instant rear projection screen - and it was free

              Even for front projection, there are many portable screens, or DYI screens like gt's. And water resistant PA speakers are nothing new, either. Also, the stuff doesn't really have to be water resistant - who would want to view a movie when it's about to rain anyway?
