they've got a deal with google with the integrated google search box, similar to the deal Google has with firefox I think.
And I guess they use it as free publicity for selling expensive licences for their mobile browser to cellphone manufacturers and network providersComment

As a novice web programmer, I used to like IE6 because no matter how mangled your HTML was, it tried to render it and it often did a good job.Originally posted by GurmY'know, like Netscape.

As a slightly more advanced programmer, I'm truly aghast at how crash prone IE 6 is.
