got a 2 yr old toshiba satpro 445 cdx w/p133 and 16mb of memory. from a price/performance standpoint, what would you consider to be a good amount of ram for an upgrade. dont have a ton of money to dump into it, but this thing is pretty slow..

Laptop memory is very expensive, 2-3 times more expensive than the desktop stuff. My suggestion is to live with it until you can shell out the cash for a new one (you can get them as chep as $1000US).

With laptops now-a-days it is much more cost efficient to buy a new one than upgrading a 2 year old.
