Comcast upgrade download bandwidth?

    Yup, local node traffic/loading seems to make a huge difference with Comcast. At my parent's house I get ~5.5Mbit, and everyone in the neighborhood is on cable modems.

        Encrypted or not, it still looks like BT traffic, and can be traffic-shaped.
        Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

                  Yup, I have encryption on, with the strictest settings, and it still crawls. If I change ports, it fires up wicked fast for a few seconds, then slows right down.
