    What A blow-job from Irene

    Hurrican Irene that is.

    Been down all weekend...
This has been the longest I've been without power, since Hurr. Andrew! Power just came back on. I've never seen the canal behind my house crest the sea wall before...been here 8 yrs. I only had some debris on my prop, neighbor down the street found his car under a tree! A few others were down on this street. Luckily I only have older, mature, well rooted trees here and both houses next door!

I see no one used my down time to pass me on SETI ;-p

It's nice to have things starting to get back to their normal insanity around here

Glad you and your property (and family?) are OK, Mark... wish you had been getting the more ordinary type of blow-job (hey, don't blame me, it's your subject header..!) instead...

Good to hear you are alright, Mark. Mother Nature can be a bitch sometimes, been there seen that on the 6th of September when some thunderstorm stopped over Oosterhout, the Netherlands and we got washed out

Never seen so much water in my life.

How dare you lure all us gutter-minded folk into a non-pornographic thread; shame on you. Seriously though glad you and yours are allright. Us folks who live in non-hurricane areas take that for granted till we watch footage on CNN. Scary shit.

          definately wet and sloppy one

Holly and Others w/dirty minds -

Well had to find something to do for 2 days without power. Hmmm, no TV, no computer, what will I do? Too bad it wasn't cold, being close just isn't the same in 85-90 F (30+ C) (no circulation, had to keep windows shut tigh durring storm and not much breeze last night {it's nice to have AC back }) and 95-100% humidity. At least it kept us inside and away from downed lines !!!

Rock -Whould a few "good" links posted here make you feel better, about it?

          On less personal front -
Not sure what made the news, haven't had time for that yet; gotta keep my priorities straight, and check the Forums :

Locally a water spout came ashore and continued breifly as a tornado (after dumping it's water ! ). A 150FT (50meters) freighter was washed ashore. And 5 died as a result of electrocution from downed powerlines That's what I know from the radio Friday night.

Mark, Glad to hear you suffered no major damage from Irene.
And no, nobody used your downtime to pass you on SETI, but I came pretty close!
Based on your average CPU time per WU though, I'm sure you are gonna widen the gap in no time.
