    GSM question

In offices instead of using wifi for voip why can you not use the GSM band that is not used in your country at very low power. E.g. in UK GSM 850 / 1900 is not used, GSM 1800 / 900 is.

    What do you think?

They should do it for environmental reasons.

Don't know, I was talking about

Something like this... The VOIP would be handled by the base station / PC. GSM would just be for voice in traditional GSM quality.

I believe DECT is something like this...it allows AFAIK communication between handsets.

DECT is everything but economic in its use of the frequency, much worse than mobile phones. It also uses 2.4 GHz, IIRC.
