    HP Photosmart 8050 problems

    My wife brought home a HP Photosmart 8050 to use for work. Prints images just fine but will not print colored text from Word, Excel or adobe documents.
    I've reinstalled the drivers and cannot find anything in the printer properties that will fix this issue.

    Anyone have an experience like this with an HP printer?????

      HP lowend printers are generally POS but their Indian tech support guys are helpful. Go to chat support and post in HP forums.

          Does another color printer work with the office apps ? if yes then
          Check that the driver (advanced usually) is not set to print black only.
          Can you print color pictures within an office file but not the text ?
          Otherwise check the fonts and the print setup pages in office (word, excel, etc) to make sure it is outputing color to the printer.
