View MPG Files As Thumbnails

I have been trying to set the folder View Menu to show thumbnails for *.mpg files but it is not working. All I get is larger file icons. There is no problem with AVI and WMV files.

Thumbs.db

I have had this problem before and I think I had to just delete the "thumbs.db" file in that folder and then reset the view to thumbnails...good luck!

Thanks for your tip but nothing works on mpg files.

Not sure, but couldn't it have to do with a directshow decoder for mpg missing or not being registered properly?

I'm sure it's a software problem (obviously) but cant figure what is causing it.
