has a huge collection of large (50-200+K) jpeg images of art, fine arts and photography. You may need some image editing software for cropping/converting etc., but some of the galleries (landscape, photorealism and still life) just seem to go on forever.Comment

I use a program called "Panorama" to display JPEG and PNG files as wallpaper, without resorting to the awful Active Desktop BS. I can be found here > http://www.ivory.org/panorama.html . I then use a large number of Star Wars images, many of which can be found here > http://www.swma.net/ . I realize you may not be a Star Wars fan, but I have lots of other images as well. Any image that you like can be displayed, though you may have to edit some for it to retain it's appeal. The best part is that they don't take up so much space and they don't have to be in the Windows directory.
