Hi ppl

My brother has had some real probs today with his new system,it has somthing to do with a conflict with his sound blaster card??

He has all ready performed the reg hack that creative has posted on their site but he still has problems :[...from what he has briefly told me it appears that he is getting a lot of irq conflicts.?.? what do you think

Search this site for a solution. There are numerous related problems, depending on his configuration. If there is no related problem discussed previously, post the details of his configuration and IRQ assignments and see what pops up.

CK is right. We need more information to help. Try this:

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

This will bring us Microsoft System Information.

Expand the "Hardware Resources" tree and select IRQ's. Now cut and paste the IRQ list here with the system specs. (If you don't know how to do that, go to Edit>Select All>Copy.)

If your brother has his soundcard in the PCI slot next to the AGP slot, he should move it. PCI 1 shares resources with the AGP slot.

Also, does he play DOS games?
