Asus 815E Offering
Three PCI slots doesn't seem to quite fit the bill for upgraders. Is this going to be standard offering for boards based on this chipset?

Asus also make the CUSL2, which is the 'full' ATX version - 1xAGP, 6xPCI, 2xCNR.

I am in the process of writing a review on the Abit SE6 and I must tell you that the Chipset and features are real cool on these boards. Its a great mother board for your Kids or your MOM!
Intel has to be kidding with this release! It allows you to build a system like a Compaq or a Dell. (everything on the MOBO) The largest Bios I have ever seen.Comment

Why would you want to build a PC like DELL?
We use them at work and they suck big time. Everytime one of the engineers tries to sort a problem we lose our ability to print anything (which is real handy in a bank!).
Has anyone else noticed that when the good ole BX was tested against the 820 @133mhz the BX won yet the new board which does not beat 820 is said to outperform the BX?
Me thinks something is a foot.

Intel can hide their 815 somewhere dark until i see a direct comparison between it and the BX at the same FSB, and they gotta make a slot one version aswell. Gits.

I think LAMF was wielding the proverbial double-edged sword with that remark. It's the problem with these "integrated everything" boards. Good for OEM's, good for grandma, bad for us.

Bad because you have to pay for it if you want it or not. But, atleast this time you can turn them OFF; and use real cards.
