Make sure your system is ACPI compliant. Make sure you have ACPI enabled in your BIOS.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

Look for file called NOHIBER.TXT in your WINDOWS folder. If it's there, it'll tell you which driver doesn't support hibernate.

Example:'Hibernation disabled because hibernate is not supported by the audio driver- emu10k1.vxd'

            BINGO !!!!
            here it is :
Hibernation disabled because hibernate is not supported by the audio driver- serwave.vxd.

THNX Sisyfos ! hve to search what use this SERWAVW.VXD but I think it might be my USR V90 modem voice support....

I've got the same mobo and proc at the same speed as you.
Maybe you'll be able to use STR (suspend to ram) instead. Actually it's very nice, leaves only 3.3V on your RAM (very quiet).
You'll have to set it to auto or enable (depends on bios version) under power in bios though. Works for me.

yah !...when disableing this ser.drv then other from MX400 is not supported & who knowes what else..so
Ill us suspend mode & have enabled STR (suspend to ram) in mbos bios...so HIBERNATE will wait a while..

THANKS to all for leading me right way !
