Anyone seen these http://www.cuecat.com yet? Anyone got one? Doesn't seem like we can get them outside the US. Good idea - especially that you're getting a barcode reader absolutely free!

I've got a barcode reader, so I'm gonna try see if it works anyway here in the UK.

yes it works!

First I scanned a can of Sprite - it didn't know what it was.
Then I scanned some Samsung CD-Rs - again, didn't know what it was.
Then I scanned some Kodak CD-Rs, and it took me to Kodak's web site!!

Once their database gets bigger, this can be pretty cool!

it even interfaces with your TV (US only again) and it will listen for a special signal to be braodcast and then will jump to the specific web site.

Oh yeah! I sure do!!

I've scanned about 30 things in reach which have barcodes, and 3 have worked: Kodak DC-Rs, My Zip drive box and a box for a xircom network card.

Good idea, but I'm bored already....

I like mine too, but then it tried to breed with my friends intelmouse optical.... Not pretty.

Why not put a Web cam up in your house? Think about what you are doing with this "Mouse" I got one from Wired, and I am going to step on it in the street and post the pictures.
