    Celeron 566 and G400 TurboGL

    G'day all,

Quick question for anyone with an overclocked Celeron 566. I'm going to be getting one of those little babies because I can't afford a P3.

Does the TurboGL install with a Celeron 566 because of the SSE instructions. I know TurboGL does if you have a P3. My current CPU is a p3 450@630 and the TurboGL runs quite nicely with it.

Would I be giving this up if I went to a Celeron II? I don't think I would because the Celeron II's have the SSE instruction set now, but I would like to know before spending the cash.

    Thanks in advance.

As long as it's a celeron II, you won't need to do anything at all. It should work fine.

      Rags,

      Thanks for the reply.

I'll give it a go then.

I should be able to pick one of those puppies up for $90 - $165 Australian. Which would probably work out to be $20 AUD : )
