I am trying to install a cd writer. I already have a DVD and when I try to install the cd writer on the secondary IDE slot my memory count goes from 256 to 128 and my machine hangs. Anybidy been through this?
have you configured the new drive properly as master/slave via the jumpers at the back of the drive? can't help on why memory count changes if your ram is seated properly.
