    bad clusters

I have a problem, my pc keeps locking up and when i reset scandisk finds some bad clusters. It usually happens when the hardisk is loading something(i know this because the hhd light is flashing) and then all of a sudden everything stops, and ALT+CTRL+END does not work. I have also noticed that recently there is something in my pc making funny noises(like cuh cuh)and i think that its my hardisk making that noise. Can someone please tell me what is going on?
    I have:
    -win98se
    -bx/zx motherboard
    -cel 533
    -matrox g200
    -64mb ram
    -3.2g samsung hardisk

Sounds like your hard disk needs replacing If scan disk is finding bad clusters that often I would back up everything before it goes completely.
When you own your own business you only have to work half a day. You can do anything you want with the other twelve hours.

Bad hard disk. Back everything important up and get a new one. If the drive is less than 3 years old you can RMA it through Samsung (they'll put a hold on your credit card and cross ship if you want).

However, a brand new 40GB is like $150. Not too bad.
