    IE 5.01 SP1/SP2, etc.

I'm currently running IE 5.01 on Win2k (no SP). Has anybody had any better/worse experience with IE's SP1 or SP2?

I'd rather not migrate to 5.5.....

Yea, SP2 is safe. It's just bug fixes, it doesn't slow it down like IE5.5.

While I know it's supposed to just be bug fixes, are you saying it is really only just bug fixes? It doesn't add any new, errr, ummmm....'features'???

Nope. No new features, or anything. At least none that I've noticed.

If you want more "features" than go with IE5.5. It has improved support for stuffs like DHTML and CSS code. But I still prefer IE5.0 because it renders pages a bit faster for a snappier overall browsing experience.

You could also try the BETA IE6.0, but it's just as much of an update from IE5.5 as IE5.5 was from IE5.0. Plus you have the possibility of seriously hosing ur system.

The only problem I had with updating to SP1 is, that whenever my connection goes off now, all open windows flicker through minimized and maximized for 10 seconds. Which is very annoying... I'll be reinstalling soon anyway

Don't worry, I'm fully aware of Opera.

Oh, and "features" is the euphemism for bugs. Just to clarify what I meant....
