Oh, and the P4 may not be as fast as the Athlon reviewed there, but it doesn't corrupt data and uses real AGP

I put together a test system with an Abit KT7A (no RAID, Windows 98, VIA 4in1 4.25a), and I have to say, it was the most uneventful install in history of motherboard upgrades. First, I tried it with a 800 MHz Duron, then a 1.2 GHz Athlon, and then I ripped out and replaced all the components, and I still haven't seen anything remotely wrong with the board.

I was supposed to write a review about the board, but I couldn't think of anything to say about it. In fact, I haven't written anything since I installed it. It's cursed!

Yeah, give me a break. If you know what you're doing, then setting up an Athlon is no problem. Hell, I migrated my HD from a K6-III+ 600 SS7 system to a 1GHz Athlon (no formatting) without any problems.

Sorry, but I refuse to buy overpriced Rambust memory, especially when the company thinks it invented sdram (sounds like al gore inventing the internet).

That is, if you consider a 2:1 ratio approximately the same. If I go to Pricewatch I can find 128MB of generic Samsung 800MHz RDRAM for $115+$10 shipping. Or, I can go to Crucial and get 256MB of PC2100 DDR for $115, with free FedEx.
