Win ME & G200 System Hangs! Help!!

I did a fresh install of ME onto a new HDD. I was surprised to find that their was no native support for my old G200 card. When I tried both the drivers that came with the card and the latest universal drivers downloaded from Matrox the system starts to hang every time. I can't even get ME to use a SuperVGA driver so I can at least get a few more colors and decent resolution. VGA on my 19" monitor is driving me crazy. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks! Mike

IT would help if we had more information about your system. Give us as complete of details of what your system consists of including motherboard, cpu, irq's, soundcard, etc.

If it's a VIA chipset then your system will hang if you don't install the VIA 4 in 1 drivers. ( due to something with the DMA and the Gx00 cards )

It should work.

If you are after stability, I run the 5.52 drivers on ME. They are old, but they NEVER fall over.

also using 4.29 4 in 1 drivers on a KT133a mobo.
