    Also, removing extra network protocols will improve network performance, depending on the protocols in question. Some protocols are more chatty, and send out a lot of packets even when there's no data transfer going on, clogging up the network.

      You might find NetBui is needed. Lots and lots of legacy programs use it.

      Also most, if not all DOS based applications and utils only run over IPX/SPX, so you might need to keep that to.

      It might no be a bad idea to delete them and reinstall them anyway.

        Hey Kruzin,

        Which protocol is at the top of your Binding order?

        Ali could be right your "friend" may have downloaded one of those Auto Dialers and it is trying to get out blocking the port (or trying to use one the router will not allow).

        Make sure that the IP on that machine was not statically changed to one that is already in use.
