Webcam software

Hi all,

I want to set up my webcam so that it takes a photo every 10 seconds or so and saves it to a directory I choose (or maybe even FTP).

Any suggestions on (free) software to use?

If you are looking for cool camera stuff, My fiancee's father just bought a system by X10... its really good and has lots of user options... too bad I don't think you can get the software seperately or even if it will work with other camera's.

I found a good few programs in the end. Chill Cam (www.thegeek.com) and VisionGS seemed to be the best two. I've chosen vision GS though as it seemed to let the camera sort out its auto lighting etc better than Chill Cam.

There will be a (semi live) picture on my web site (www.steve-cooper.co.uk) from tomorrow, once I get a USB extension cable.

I'm still not sure if I want it pointing at me and my bedroom 24/7 , so it may be pointing out the window most of the time...

Or if you buy a professional level camera/board (like the Winnov Videum, ahem), it is built in to the drivers.

I have actually got a winnov card, but no camera, and I don't want the camcorder tied up to the PC all the time.

And Patrick - somehow I doubt she'll agree to that!
