win2k SP2 easy Cd creator 4 and Abit kt7 133a

Now is this a deadly combination or what. After installing SP2 easy Cd creator stopped working I patched it with the latest patches and it started working again. Unfortunaltey I didn't test direct CD and being careless I discovered this just made coasters.
I've just installed Easy CD 5 and direct Cd now works with the disk at once option switched off. Haven't tried easy Cd creator again as yet.
Has anyone else had there easy cd wrecked by sp2?

ECDC and WMP7 don't get along (they both have Adaptec SW). Check the Roxio site for details.

(of course, don't install the WMP CDR part anyway...)

Wmp7 is supposed to be okay if you install it without adaptec easy cd plugin. I also did update to wmp 7.1 again without the plugin however this again could be the culprit.
