New EPOX Socket 7 BIOSes ! AGP 2X ENABLED !!!

Finally the Socket 7 users got a hope for AGP 2x on MGA-G200. My system performance increased considerably. Post messages for comparison.

    My system :

    AMD k6/2 300 3DNow
    Epox MVP3-E motherboard
    Millenium G200 8 Mb SGRAM
    64 Mb RAM
    Creative SBLive! soundcard

Be careful, though... with the Epox MVP3G-M, the AGP transfer rate and general system speed goes down with the 2 most recent BIOSes. The best performer for that board seems to be the 3/01/99 BIOS.

Funny I can remember Epox saying there wasn't a problem. Strange how a bios fix fixes another none problem.

I have to agree with anid. I also have an EPoX MVP3G-M motherboard and with the last 2 BIOS updates I've noticed the same slow downs. The best performer for that board does seems to be the 3/01/99 BIOS.

And with the G400 I have no problems with getting 2X DiME mode AGP.
