    Brightness probs !

    Hi everyone,

at the moment I´m suffering from too less brightness in Expendable. Gamma is 100% maxed within game. Yes, and I do know where to find the gamma correction in the matrox display properties. They are at about 55-60% at the moment. But Expendable is so dark, I can hardly see anything. Rollcage is playable.

Yesterday, I did an istallation of a friend`s system also with a G400 OEM 16MB. His sys/card was MUCH more brighter without any tweaks (same OS).

    Any ideas ?

    Greetings

Are you playing at 1024x768x32 or higher with 32 bit colours on?? I had this problem with the demo and my G200... Got it fixed when I changed back to 16bit colours.. Don't know another cure this fast

I would be interested to have a solution to this as well. I am playing Expendable Matrox version on a G400 DH 32 MB, and the picture is really too dark, even with gamma at 199 % for all colours.

My monitor is darkish anyway (Samsung 17 GL)
and the signal passes through a video capture
board which collects it's toll as well. But other games are playable. (On the TV it is much better).

What you could try is change the brightness of your monitor... Otherwise, change back to 85Hz V standard (if you had it upped to another frequency) and restart your PC.

Reinstalling the enduser.exe of DX6.0 and on top of that the normal DX6.1, with a reboot, can also help !!
