    G400 NTSC-DVD -> PAL-TV

    Hi,

I have a G400 DH which is connected to a TV.
My TV can only display PAL, so when i want
to watch a DVD whith region code 1 it has
to be converted to PAL. The result is a
video which stops every few seconds for a
short time. I use the supplied MatroxDVD
player. Does anyone know, what to do?

Can you watch it on your Monitor without
problems or does it show the same behaviour?
    Still using a G200 PCI...

Sounds more like a busmastering problem to me.

I don't think so. A friend of mine has a TV
which supports NTSC. If he switches to NTSC
        the movie runs smoothly

Tried the good old uninstall / reinstall routine?

I think that's the normal result of the ntsc to pal conversion; it's far worse using a hollywood plus.

I have been able to watch the NTSC DVD:s on my PAL-only TV just fine (and in colour).

Agreed to. Just tried Trainspotting, Armageddon, Sid And Nancy and Timebandits (all NTSC) and they just work fine.

Now, is there already a hack for the Countryc ode and the Macrovision?
